    Izvor Licanke 2018

Izvor Licanke is a man-made resurgence used to supply water for a hydro-electric power station in Fuzine, Croatia. The cave was explored originally by Frank Vasseur in 1996 who explored the 40m long first sump, 350m or so of huge dry passage before coming across the final sump. Frank pushed this...

    Dyneema shock/safety cords

I took over FF1 fall once onto a daisy chain. It really, really, really, hurt. I had a really big padded harness on but also had a tonne of weight attached to me. I wouldn?t recommend trying it in a caving harness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Seland Wetsuits?

They are very popular amongst certain circles. The problem I find with them is the lower bit of the wetsuit does not have arms. It's shoulderless. I don't wanna cave like that. So you have to wear the jacket, but then you have two layers of neoprene over your core and get really warm. They...

Recommend me a cave to do

I actually don't know what SWCC does. My club used to lend gear but you generally get your own pretty quickly.

    CDG training camp

Just for anyone contemplating this...the CDG training camps are amazing. In fact it was the last Welsh training camp which really cemented my interest in cave diving. I'd recommend it to any caver remotely interested in possibly diving.

Recommend me a cave to do

Hi mate! Just a quick echo that I?ve read the whole thread, clubs are definitely the right way to go! I?m not a member of SWCC but you won?t go wrong with it! Don?t worry about working full time and having time for it, I?d say that?s the situations most members are in and there isn?t...

Spanset Sponsorship Competition - Spanish Fun

Hi, (when I started writing this I had no idea how long it would end up being) Every year a small contingent of CDG cavers (2-4) head out to Spain trying to discover new cave passage; 2018 will be no exception. The goals are rather numerous and currently rather spread out. Currently there are 4...

    Flex VS Rubber

I use miflex on everything. Over 16 regs and three rebreathers. Sometimes they wear out, from the outside, not inside. This is easy to spot. I?ve never had or seen one go bang. I?ve been there for three rubber hoses going bang in the last few years. Take from that what you will. Sent...

    Access to Charterhouse Cave

Pete, one small point, being the diver who was on that with you. I really doubt it would be remotely similar to swildons 3 to freedive. If I remember rightly we laid out 20m of line which was only just enough. Maybe there was 15m of line in the sump itself, which is quite a bit longer than 3...
