    Brean Down was like this today, on the coast, haven't ever had an issue on the coast before. Crawling in Nymph ticks after a lunch stop.

    Indeed they are, we've had a massive ant infestation, book lice and silver fish. Can handle creatures that don't damage stuff but losing my patience with some of these critters!

    That sounds scary, hope you continue to recover. I've added hearing issues to my chronic pain which is no fun :( Pain has been a bit better over the last few months though which has made caving more enjoyable!

    Yes, nearly every walk on Mendip I've picked them up & and going for a wee pre caving is a risky business! I'm assuming it's due to milder winters..

    Bad air / pollution / bad bolts / etc

    Felt terrible in Tynings on Wednesday from the bottom of the 2nd pitch, breathing much heavier than normal. Swildons this evening, fine to the double pots, but beyond the 2nd cascade towards sump 1 felt almost immediately terrible. Not having a good summer for being effected by bad air...
