Just out of curiosity- what would happen if every cave in the country refused to take out caving insurance. It was never needed in the past and no-one (to my knowledge) has ever tried to make a claim. The caving world should have knocked this lunacy on the head right from day one
Does anyone know who, if anyone, in the Dales area sells the old rubber type, ankle boots (lace up style) that folks used to cave in b4 the advent of wellies.
While on a tourist trip in peak cavern on sunday 8th april an overpowering smell of diesel or paraffin fumes was noticed in the treasurey area. this was not present the previous day. Any ideas anyone ?
