I’ve walked past this many times and often wondered if it is worth digging out, it looks like it has been filled in rather than suffered a collapse, perhaps someone on here might know more about it?
That’s very interesting, they did a heck of a lot of work before giving it up! I paced it out to 250-300 yards long when I went in. Any idea what it was called?
Does anyone have any information about the mine a couple of hundred yards down the footpath from Roystone Grange, heading towards Ballidon? It’s on the hill up to the right. I cannot find it on any maps or on the Peak District Caving website.
