Free to a good home. Can drop at a hut in the Dales, or you can pick it up from me near Kendal.

    Free rope

I have about 17 of these 8-10ft lengths of rope to give away. They had been cut from expired climbing rope to use for raft building, but were never used. Would be useful for dog leads, bag cords, digging, skipping ropes etc. Not for anything safety critical obviously. Can drop at a Dales hut, or...

    'pretty' caves in the dales?

F'ing Hopeless and the Haywagon in Voldemort are two very pretty Leck Fell options.

    Alum pot extra P hangers

I've got a feeling that the highlighted deviation may be a climbing nut in the opposite wall. Spotted something that looked like that at the weekend.

    Cave Leader training

As far as I know, there is no single recommended book that covers all the content for the awards, but this page: https://british-caving.org.uk/our-work/training/leadership-awards/lcmla/ has a section called QMC Documents for Award Holders, which has various resources. These should contain lots...

Hiking boot at bottom of Alum Pot

Anyone lost a boot? Am guessing it belongs to a caver, or a walker with an epic story to tell! Can return to you if you send some details.

Question about stop grip and slip.

Hi Space Doubt Caver, just wondering how you have your central maillon set up, i.e. the order of equipment? I can't imagine how your descender brake is getting stuck in the descender's karabiner, unless I've misunderstood? I would also expect an 8mm maillon to wear through your Stop a fair bit...

    Landjoff Tacklesack

I've got the 22l bag, and it seems to be as good as the (more expensive) Meander bag that preceded it. I like the sloped opening of the bag as a feature, seems to close a bit more easily because it has a little bit of spare capacity over a level opening.

    Rope tensioning

https://british-caving.org.uk/our-work/training/leadership-awards/lcmla/ Then scroll down the page until you find a short document called 'Tyrolean for Groups - Rigging Notes'. It has a handy diagram and some notes on setting it all up.

    Oversuits!

The pocket sits on the lower half of your ribcage. Without looking it up, would estimate it's about 15cm by 20cm. Mine is definitely big enough to take batteries, survival bag and a mars bar.

    Oversuits!

If you like AV, then have a look at Landjoff too. Their suits are of similar construction, but with a superior hood and internal big zipped pocket.
