    University - computer science project

I've always had the idea in the back of my head of something that can read rigging topos for you and then cross reference it to an existing database (with your rope lengths and available metalwork) in order to spit out all the trips you could possibly do instead of having to comb through...

    Stuff left at Alum pot

I've been told that someone picked them up Monday evening and left them at the bpc! If this thread could be closed by one of the moderators please that would be great :)

    Stuff left at Alum pot

Huh, maybe I did derig them and it's just mixed in with our club kit. Didn't have a thorough check when we was leaving yesterday. Thank you for checking though! :)

    Stuff left at Alum pot

what is the most 'young adult' friendly caving club / hut in the UK

I've found that working in a night club has made me much more tolerant to the noise and can just kinda sleep through it. Though I do sometimes bring earplugs with me 😌

How big is the average UK caving club?

42 is THE answer to everything 😉

what is the most 'young adult' friendly caving club / hut in the UK

Yeah I find that they're all very welcoming there's just sometimes an unwanted vocal minority that ruin the perception of the club and it can definitely stick with the way stories and rumours are passed around the uni students 🤣. Praise Martyn Grayson and Jess for their work turning the TSGs...

Caving in France, Vercors Massif vs Ardèche

I was actually meant to do my gold dofe expedition canoeing on the river Ardeche but it got cancelled by covid! :( I think you're right that I'll enjoy both with good company and I'll trust your word that Vercors doesn't compete with Yorkshire... although I know you're the regions biggest...

Caving in France, Vercors Massif vs Ardèche

Thanks for the overviews! Leaning more towards vercors if the recommendation is ardeche is better in spring but will have a look at the others as well

Caving in France, Vercors Massif vs Ardèche

Thinking of going on holiday for a few weeks to do some caving this summer and can't decide between these two regions in France. I've managed to get my hands on a copy of both Spéléo sportive dans le Vercors volume 1 and 2 ... although in French not too much of a problem as I very luckily live...
