    Redhouse Lane Swallet Update

I would like to thank the farmer and FE who have been absolutely fabulous in allowing vehicular access to a revived dig site (that Pete alluded to). It would have been very arduous to have lugged 100kg of concrete, generator, pump and goodness knows what else by foot.

    Redhouse Lane Swallet Update

One discussion is to reopen Symonds Yat Swallet. This is extremely close verticality and horizontally at the bottom to Redhouse. However, the site, dug in the '60's has collapsed about 8m down the entrance shaft. And we know beyond is hanging death as the cave passes through the Whitehead...

What caving related thing did you do today?

It's connected to a prophecy that I made and Paul Taylor shared at his Forest round up at Hidden Earth 2023 (Gordano). I recall it got a few unbelieving laughs at the time..... Maybe more news Sunday if the weather holds good....

    Redhouse Lane Swallet Update

Thank you. With the new bits found yesterday and the remaining bits in Lhasa rifts still to survey, we estimate another 300m to 400m to add of known passage. I understand that the survey data is/has been added to data archive (Mark Tringham is in charge of it). I can assure you that the data is...

    Redhouse Lane Swallet Update

Thank you. Indeed on C3! It is one of the caves furthest away from the Redhouse end though. After large chambers a sinewy, tight crawl ends in chokes. It is on our list to resurvey soon. Too many bats in the way when we looked in winter! Recently, we have found more unlisted holes in the cliff...

And South Wales and the Forest of Dean aren't far either.

    Redhouse on GB News

I certainly don't watch breakfast TV. Thus was posted simply to inform folk about media interest following the Unherd article. I think and hope the Sunday Times article will be quality and will be using some excellent photos. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to David's publicity we've been asked to do an interview on GB News Breakfast tomorrow, Friday 23rd May. Hopefully they will show some of Ian's video/Bartek's photos. Time will probably be shortly after 8.20am.

It's the Peak-Speedwell and Gaping Gill crowns we're aiming for! Should be possible once we connect with Slaughter Stream Cave. :ROFLMAO:
