Last night we dropped a small bag in Swildons - it fell into a small rift just below the greasy chimney - annoyingly it was in sight but could not quite be reached. If anyone fancies a rescue mission there may be a small reward - a pint or two of Butcombe in Hunters perhaps?

Does anyone know the origin of the name Aveline's Hole?  I know it was re-discovered in 1797 by two lads chasing a rabbit, but I am curious as to when the cave was named Aveline's Hole and why. Has anyone any more info? Cheers.

Hi An enjoyable trip to Aggy last night to Erse Passage - however a minor dispute was had on when Ogof Gam became Agen Allwed proper.  Is it in Baron's Chamber where the blue "keep Aggy tidy" sign is placed? And if not where? Would appreciate your thoughts.
