Not in a dating way!

I'm currently unemployed and my usual caving folk are still working or being boring. If anyone has a spare place on a trip anytime in the next few weeks let me know. From JH to Carlswark, not bothered, any trip, any where, any way.
No need to babysit, promise.

BORED!

Fancy a bimble down Carlswark to check on graffitti? I could do Weds or Thurs Eve next week or maybe during the day on 22nd or 23rd.

Cheers guys.

Martin - I'm up for a Carlswark trip + also 3 Holes was reportedly full of cack a week ago and I've been meaning to get there and clear it out. Will have to sort out when at some point later in week as I may have a CIC assessment to squeeze in.
Don't spose you have a GPS? Gotta get some exact refs for a couple of shafts above Eyam Dale for DCA and my one is so old that it no longer logs on to any satalites.

Ric - Tue not good, got some guiding/coaching on. Should have a better idea when free after the weekend.

Sounds good. I can only do Thurs eve next week due to work, but can do daytime on 22nd or 23rd. May have Santa's little helper/s as well that week.

Sorry, haven't got a GPS - but I know someone who does, so I can see if he wants to come along - as long as his scurion doesn't play up!

I can provide scrubbers and rubbish bags if needs.

As far as I've seen, the system has not received any graffiti since our last clean-up and is looking good. Always in need of a bit of rubbish and old glove clearing! During a day might be easier for me but I'll have to get back to you on that.

P.S last time we did some surface litter picking I managed to fill 4 bin bags in an hour and that barely dented it.

From my experience the GPS fixes in Stoney are miles out. Ive been putting stoney dale into survex and the gps data does not match the entrance fixes that John Beck has created with his extensive surface surveying, and trig points.

I also might be free in the week, down Gautries all the time though!

for really accurate survey work - GPS alone should not be trusted - especially if you are using fairly cheap kit, in a small steep dale with loads of tree cover. Its just not accurate enough.

Cheers for all the offers guys. Just had my CIC assesment booked to start on Saturday so it looks like I'm gonna be a little occupied preparing for that now!
