Thought this maybe of interest to multiple cavers .I worked down drains in my previous job for many years. I am wondering now will new build housing estates have more leniency ? . It’s common practice usually to stick a balancing pond in . Hopefully they don’t start discharging more into rivers .

Another step to reclaiming our claim as the Dirty Old Man of Europe.

Even more galling is that the UK was one if not the principal drivers for water quality improvements in the EU
