You should join HUSCC (Huddersfield Uni caving club) we don't do much at the mo as everyone either A) away or B) doing masters and busy.  8) Definately should hook up for a trip soon  Will send round some PM's and get something organised

Every society has to start with HU (Huddersfield Uni) and HUCC was already taken  8)

Who runs Stawes halls now?  Does the Uni run them?  That's a good thing I think.
What got HUCC? Canoe club? Climbing club.

Do the students get cheap tickets to watch the Giants play rugby?  doing well this season the Claret and golds!

Bloody hell! I miss 2 weeks at the pub and look what I miss? when did the name change?  The last I heard it was still UHUCC (University Of Huddersfield Union Caving Club) when it formed  they couldn't have the name uhsucc (slightly catchier to abbreviate) because the canoe club had the name already.
A while ago a suggestion to change name to: First University of Kirklees and Calderdale Union Caving club, was sadly rejected. Also a name change to Huddersfield University Speleological Society of Yorkshire.IIRC was rejected.
Although the amount of caving the club does is minimal, perhaps a change to the drinking appreciation society would be more appropriate?   :halo:

Storthes, and Ashenhurst is owned and run by Ubrique (not sure if they are a British company) the uni sold it to them a few years ago, to fund main campus building work. The Halls just across the road from campus aren't run by the uni, or Ubrique.

(Ill get my anorak and zimmer frame on the way out)
