Keen cave explorer required, to help explore lesser known Yorkshire Caves

Keen cave explorer required,to help explore lesser known Yorkshire Caves and gain caving experience.

I get to cave in York's about once a week sometimes more, travelling up from Burnley.

I am trying to gain caving experience for professional qualifications over the next few years.
Please PM me if you are interested.

Keen novice or semi retired caver would be great, the main thing is that you can get out and cave, and are level headed and reliable, often midweek.

As amongst others rigging and surface navigation are skills I am trying to learn, please don't apply if you only want to bottom a cave, many trips to the same cave may be made trying out different techniques and exploring both underground and above.
Also, so called by some, unnecessary rigging i.e. approach traverses etcetera will be rigged and a certain amount of time will be spent faffing about.

This Is an opportunity for the right person to learn with me, sound caving skills, and a car share to any training days I may attend i.e. those run by the D.C.A.  or my caving club C.C.P.C.

Also as I Cave in Derbyshire, you may if you wished join me on some of these trips (usually club orientated)  reducing the cost of travel by car sharing.

You will be expected to learn S.R.T. self rescue and ladders if you have not yet gained these skills, BCA insurance is required.

Please only reply BY P.M. if you have the time & commitment to help.

Kindest Regards
Ron

When I'm caving in Yorkshire I often travel by train - Bradford being one of the more convenient meeting points. it has a good service from Manchester. It is also possible to get to Clapham and Skipton stations, although these services are less frequent, and tend to stop early in the evenigns.

www.nationarail.co.uk or www.transport-direct.co.uk will both help.
