Thinking of a day trip down to the forest again is there still access to Noxon park iron mines? Heard they are not used by groups anymore not been been for over 14 years

Depends on whether you  have BCA insurance etc. The Forestry Commission only allow free access to RFDCC, GSS and Hades clubs. Others should get a permit from FoDCCAG I believe. PM me if you want their contact details.

Mind you the water level is fairly high at the moment so there aren't any long trips.
