I'm sorry to have to report that long-time SUSS and PDMHS member Steve Thompson was found dead at home last Friday; after several of us got concerned about the lack of response to phone calls and emails I contacted the local hospital, and then Northamptonshire Police who informed me that they called round after concerned neighbours notice his milk hadn't been taken in. At the moment I don't have any more information than that but I'm hoping to get more in the coming days.

My condolences to those that knew him well.  I never met Steve but have been grateful recently for all the work he put in on the Bradwell catchment mines.  A wealth of knowledge!

I'm sure he'll be sadly missed.

RIP Steve

Steve was one of a kind; I remember him saying of his circle of friends, all eccentric to a greater or lesser degree "I find mad people are much more interesting and fun to be around" and will always remember his usual parting shot to me "Keep in as much mischief as you can get away with".
