Having been on many trips to sump 2 we eventually took the plunge and got through to the other side. THe water was low as we could see through to the air pocket. 8)
However after doing this several times we felt that we could do Sump 3!! We kept going up to the begining and the first one would have a look but then vis would become none existant.
I finally decided that I was going to go through and set off on my dive. I had held my breath for about 20 seconds when I saw some air at the roof of the sump and thought that I was through. Oh how wrong I was. I hit my head and had no air. Instead of staying calm I wondered which way was the best way on. I retreated back through the none existant vis wondering when the end would come along. Eventually I made it back and took a large gasp of air.
Since then we found out I was almost all the way through.
Having heard this we decided to go again and this time Stu went through and made it to the end. After I did all the hard research I might add. We have now both been back and made it to Sump 4 several times through the sumps wondering what all the fuss was about!!
