The winners of the 2022 DCA Cave Exploration Prize have been announced

This year's winners walk away with 200m of Gleistein 9mm rope and a pile of Roughneck digging tools after finding almost 500m of new cave passage in the Peak District area. Head over to the DCA website for full details and to find out who has won (as if you can't guess!)

DCA Chairman Wayne Sheldon and Simon Brookes of Derbyshire Geotechnical Ltd recently met up with members of the Cussey and SMMC digging and diving team to hand over the prizes for winning the Cave Exploration prize in 2022.
Wayne presented a 200m drum of Gleistein 9mm rope which was kindly provided to DCA at trade price by Tony Seddon of Starless River. Simon presented a selection of Roughneck digging tools that his firm donated to the prize fund.
Well done on a very deserved win. DCA wish you all the best for finding more cave in 2023, but do give everyone else a chance to win if you can!
