Aber uni CC (at that time UCWCC) was a bit shambolic, it was generally believed that the "5" in the middle of the badge indicated the number of active cavers.View attachment 17873

Outside of Colours CertificateIn 1970 Aber CC employed a bit of lateral thinking to strengthen our position. One of our schoolgirls got hold of a load of Central Athletic Board certificates for the award of sporting colours and we awarded colours to all the active cavers...and a few others.
