MCRA need your help

I reckon there's one or two mine-related pics there, including two that look suspiciously like deneholes (or chalk workings of some kind). I'll post a link to this thread and see if anyone can help.

No.279. BPOW?

Bull Pot of the Witches was my first thought but then I changed my mind, your comment lead me to dig this out ...

looks pretty similar.

Sirch2 - thanks! Yes, confirms it as BPOW as the matching boulder in both pictures has at least five identification characteristics.

This one reminds me of Yordas in Kingsdale, Yorkshire.

I'm sure others will either agree or disagree. Time will tell.

I'll have a close look and see next time I'm near there.

Could possibly be, but if so, then the entrance has been scooped out considerably since this pic was taken.

In the "One Man Band" photograph of Avelines -
2nd from left is Bob Craig and 3rd from left is Paul Allen.

This was on a Shepton post AGM fancy dress trip - a tradition that is still going strong.
Fifth from left (front - in skirt) - Bill Tolfree
Far right (nurse's uniform) - Bryan Ellis
On brass - Dick Dunster
Also in there somewhere is Bill Watkins and, probably, Martin Mills.

That Shepton fancy dress picture wasn't there when I looked the other day. Have updated the comment form and can identify them all. Page 86 of SMCC Journal Series 10 Number 5, May 1999, titled '50 Years of "The Shepton" 'has another picture from that same trip. From comparing the two, 1st left John Iles, 2nd left Bob Craig, 3rd left Paul Allen, immediately behind 3rd left is Martin Mills (Milche) but you can't see him apart from recognising the full body sheet he was wearing, 4th left Bill Watkins, 5th left Bill Tolfree, 6th left Roger Biddle, 7th left with the brass is Dick Dunster, 8th left in nurses uniform is Bryan Ellis. Photo was taken on 2nd May 1965.

Mark, Shepton

Have to agree that it does look like 'Block of Wood' aka Pete Hiscock, and in his usual attire of minus trousers.

In the Ray Teagle album is a group photograph marked St.Cuthberts - at top left is Bob Craig & at bottom right is Mike Baker
