Gautries can anybody lend a hand?

John Taylor and I have been Diving in the sump at the end of Gautries (the worst dive base in Derbyshire) and John has dived into a huge inclined bedding, 4 Metres wide at about 45 degrees. Which appears to be flowing John said at this point he wished he had looked up the slope before he destroyed the vis as there is a possibility it may surface. We dived yesterday but it was like diving in Milk which is maybe an indication of flowing water.  There is a good potential for a lot of dry passage here as there is a big gap between P8 up stream sump and Gautries. There is also a good 50 to 60 meter height difference that is assuming the water resurges at P8 and not Russet well. If anyone fanncys helping out with logistics it would be appreciated??

Gautries is now under water if anyone is plannig a trip in there you will not be able to get in. The water has been diverted for a digging project which puts the entrance under water this will only be for a short time. I will post on when it is drained.

Thanks but How does that work because the sump is dry in pool chamber now?  Sorry if I'm being ignorant here!!

When water flows into the sump in Angle Chamber (such as under the water conditions currently imposed by the EPC diggers) it appears in the sump in Pool Chamber, and then flows onwards into the new passages beyond.

According to the survex file, Pool Chamber sump is ~0.8m lower, so i guess there is some overflow point between them which is keeping Angle Chamber sump drying out more...

There were two sumps in pool chamber one at the bottom of the slope presumably the other end of the sump in angle chamber and pool chamber final sump which has now has been completly removed.
