Caving helmets for children?

Any recommendations?

Looking to take my daughter caving (nearly 4) and although she's been underground with one of my old site helmets with a wooly hat underneath to pad it out, I'd like to get her something better if possible.

I think that Petzel do a helmet for small people but can anyone recommend any other options, ie a climbing helmet with a lamp bracket etc?

Thanks

3 yrs old OG! I got a child's ski helmet from Decathlon pretty cheap which does the job great and has the right places to attach helmet clips.

Hi Jon, some of the Forest guys started off using bike helmets with some kind of lamp fixed on for their kids, then progressed to the Petzl Elios, this helmet has a small and Large sizes.

I know you said other than petzl, however they do make a picchu helmet, which goes really small for kids.

I think these cheapo Decathlon specials have done a good job - protect the ears as well!
The lad is 3 1/2 here, and it still fits fine now he is 5.

I'm not a child, but do have quite a small head. I use a 'Wild Country 360' helmet in the small size (a size actually made for children apparently), I think it's great! It's also got a small profile so I've never had to take it off in squeezes.
I've screwed on a blade mount, but a light on an elastic headband should fit fine as it as those little clip things.

Comes in a range of colours for your little one to choose from too!

The Petzl Elios size 1 is great for small heads. My two have worn them from age 5.
I use a size 1 and have to crank it in so it doesnt wobble all over the place. I do have a very small head though :)

Sorry, tried to post a piccie of the kids with Elios helmets but didnt know how to attach. The Elios is  a good fit for even quite young ones
.

My littlest one - nearly 5 - has a Petzl Picchu. It's sold as multi purpose and she wears it just as happily on her bike as she does underground. It even comes with a flashing rear red light and a load of stickers so it can be personalised.

The oldest one is 8 and he wears a siz one Elios - He's got  big head though, he borrows his mums helmet if I take him on the motorbike!
