Bolting in Winnats Head Cave

DCA is about to begin installing BP-bolts on some of the pitches which are currently equipped with Spits in Winnats Head Cave. The work is going to be started on Mon 25th November. Likely to need a couple of trips but will be finished either that week or the following week.

Ropes will be left in safe condition so won't affect anyone's trips.

This has taken longer than expected and couple more trips needed. We're going to be in there tomorrow evening (Mon 13th Jan 2014) for penultimate working  trip. Thought worth posting on here as upstream pitches will be busy! Won't be touching the downstream pitches though.

The bolting of the Winnats Head upstream pitches is now complete.  Many thanks to those who did the job on behalf of DCA: Jules and Sam.

Please note that, although DCA has installed the new BP anchors and stainless steel maillons, it is not responsible for any ropes attached.
