Newbie looking for North Wales caves

Hi guys,

Last weekend, at 42 years of age, I finally discovered caving. It was awesome!

After a recent rock climbing session at Stoney Middleton in The Peak District, I spotted a few caves which had to be explored. I tried a few of them but without a light I knew I had to come back another day.

That day was last Sunday.

Two adults and five kids (ages 5 - 14)....we explored as much as we could and had an awesome adventure. The kids loved it as much as the adults. We will definitely be going there again soon.

Before that, we are heading into North Wales for a spot of climbing. While there I would like to explore a few caves so my question is.... Can anyone recommend any good caves, ideally in the Snowdonia area, which are suitable for kids?

Any advise would be most helpful.

Regards

No caves in Snowdonia but lots of mines. There are a number of slate mines that would be suitable for family trips with children. Log onto aditnow - you'll receive a lot of good advice over there.
