450 lumens max output. In general caving use I can get about 6h decent use out of 4 (cheap!) AAs. This can be eeked out to 10 hours just fine as I found when needing to change batteries at the boats in Cueto-Coventosa. Not sure on lithium performance, it comes with a dummy battery when using 3 rechargeables.

Mentioned for the sake of honesty :halo:: There's a slight flicker when you bump your head - it's not like a strobe light, the light never 'goes out' as it were; it's barely just perceivable. This is because of the batteries rattling in the battery pack slightly, nothing that can't be resolved with wedges of foil or maybe bending the terminals.
I've caved with it plenty and never had issues.

The inserts alone go for ?70, this one (and the duo casing) has seen a couple of years of moderate usage. I have the original Duo 14 LED array and spare bulb to chuck in as well.

So if you're looking to upgrade you current Duo - buy this for the insert and a full spare Duo 14!

Sheffield based and can do hut drop-offs caver post etc etc if desired.
