Has anyone else seen the newly produced Sima GESM DVD advertised and reviewed in the recent Descent?

I got my copy a few days ago and it is superb. To say that it has been effectively produced by one, to my knowledge, non-professional filmmaker, it's amazing. In my view it certainly wouldn't look out of place on television.

Well worth £8 incl P&P.

I have seen the film, and agree that it is superb. If you are too tight to buy a copy the film is being shown at this year's Hidden Earth, so you can catch it there. Marcus (the film's maker) told me that the Spanish cavers were some of the neckiest, bravest cavers he had ever been underground with. He described them as "mad".

I don't think that Marcus would call himself an amateur however. He is a professional cameraman, and has worked on a number of other well-known caving and "outdoor adventure" type films. I think this is his first "production" though.

That explains it ... very impressive nonetheless!
Thanks Ship-Badger.
