I'm looking at one of the waterproof camera "bags" made by Aquapac, which is basically a tough poly bag with a hard lens area so you shoot with the camera in the bag. They have a chunky seal which is meant to keep out water up to about 5m (more than I need).
Is there a cunning way of attaching the camera to a tripod whilst in the bag? If you just screwed the tripod on then you would chew up the bag.
Has anyone got any ideas? I thought about 2 magnetic plates but would this affect the DSLR?
