Chat GPt - a way to go for reliable information

A couple of years ago when asked how many entrances Ogof Draenen had, ChatGPT said the list included Little Neath River Cave, Ogof Cnwc and Bull Pot. I suppose this is evidence of learning. .

What caving related thing did you do today?

Have you visited the British Caving library?

The library provided copies of old obscure articles containing information that could not be easily obtained by other routes. Some of these described, for instance, water tracing undertaken by individuals who are now dead and had not left full accounts of what they had done. Sometimes it was...

Have you visited the British Caving library?

The Library has been a very considerable help to me. They have provided online information that has saved me a lot of time and effort.

    Good smoke for testing drafts?

Thanks for that information. There is a method even worse than smoke pellets. I was once involved in burning an old tyre underground when long distance transmission was anticipated. Certainly not environmentally friendly and vast amounts of foul smoke produced that emerged from every tiny crack...

    Good smoke for testing drafts?

I confess I tried bubbles a few years ago. They seemed to have some promise although often sinking quickly to the ground. I switched to Magic Smoke for convenience of use - often bursts need only be a second or two and no preparation time is needed. Also I was looking at a lot of surface...

    Good smoke for testing drafts?

The only disadvantage of the Magic Smoke canisters is their size. Perhaps when going to underground sites with very constricted access smoke matches might have advantages, but I have never used them personally. How many do you carry (presumably not 100)? How do you get them going underground...

The answer is neither translated from Welsh nor in Wales. .

    Good smoke for testing drafts?

You can call someone whose job is to create drafts a punkah wallah. Smoke testing detects drafts, but hopefully does not make them. .

    Cryptic caves

No. (Letter count does not fit Craig's Cave). The capitalization is strange, but you have the right punctuation mark. Think about what Wednesday after next is. That gives you the ending. This is a difficult clue because of the obscurity of the site and the bizarre way the name is presented. .
