What percentage of cavers do we reckon "cave abroad" outside of the occasional trip to well known caves in Spain or France tho' ?
I bet its low single figures.
Gosh look at that beautiful textbook rigging...
A loop to clip into, a deviation to keep you away from the water...
Has Garlands pot ever been rigged like that before lol!
For years that was how it was done and i don't remember it being more "call-out" prone than it is now (if anything the reverse)
The humerous photos up-thread show it being done with all matter of "toy" Inflatables...(I've done it myself with an Inflatable Killer Whale and an Action Man...
Whilst I'm aware that most of the UK is presently sinking under the waves LOL...just wondered what water levels were like in S Wales at the minute...down for the weekend and planning what trips are feasible...
Saturday looks a drier day than Sunday but as ground saturated everywhere likely to...
As a caver can I apply for a key to access Aggie?
I'd never heard of any problems so assumed I'd be able to request a key if we gave enough notice...(we're planning an end of Feb trip)
Just visited the Llangattock site though and the form to request access looks like it can only be completed...
Going to have a look at Langstroth on Sunday...
Will probably investigate sumps first before committing to a through trip...
Can anyone let me know what they're like and share any thoughts about the dive through?
Cheers!
Quick query...anyone heard anything about problems/collapse etc - someone mentioned it to me and we're thinking of doing the through trip soon...if anyone knows anything...will save me having a look at the downstream end first...
Cheers!
