    CPC J4-5

Huw - you should now have the full CPC Journal reference and the Kendal account, both sent by email today. Let me know the answer to my query (in one of the emails) about whether you want the original exploration account which I think is in the CDG 1955 - 1957 Diving Review. (It was the CDG that...

Best glue to stick the soles of my shoes back together?

A very good cement is Bostik 2402 adhesive. Product code 30812389. It's a 2 part glue, mixed before use. I use this to repair neoprene seals on drysuits, which are under high strain when dressing / undressing. Black Witch is nowhere near strong enough in this application but Bostik 2402 usually...

    Marble Pot on the Allotment

Worth looking at Tony Waltham's image of the 1980 collapse of glacial till that blocked it. See page 85 in Cave & Karst of the Yorkshire Dales Volume 1 (2013). Volume 2 (2017) page 363 gives useful detail of the exact position & nature of the slump. It was a very big slump so if a club has...

    On't scrounge for a skateboard

Ha ha - not too far from the truth with that picture! (y) But I'll keep you all guessing for the time being.

    **Rock fall** Alum Pot

One is reminded of the Mabel Binks accident here. It'll be interesting to see if any earthquakes were logged at that time, when the BGS earthquake site next updates.

    Wezzit?

I'll duck out now and let someone else get it.

    Wezzit?

    Struggling to find a "scratching my head" icon . . . . .

    On't scrounge for a skateboard

Oh wow - what a great response; thanks all! Looks like Ed has got me sorted out though. Pete, I'll spill the beans if it works!

    Wezzit?

    Is it up Cliff Cavern?

    On't scrounge for a skateboard

That would be grat; thanks Ed!

    Wezzit?

Far Sump Extension is anything between the bottom of JH's Leviathan shaft and Far Sump but not including Titan. So all the high level stuff reached by going up Calcite Aven. Your picture looks a bit like the Ride of the Valkyries shaft.

Have you visited the British Caving library?

I suspect that a lot of cavers don't understand what a marvellous resource the BCL is and just how helpful the folks who manage it are. Earlier in this topic I found myself wondering whether BCA might benefit from a spot of PR, to dispel various perceptions which seem to have emerged. Maybe...

    On't scrounge for a skateboard

That looks like a very useful resource; thanks Steve. If no-one can help it may be worth pursuing.

    On't scrounge for a skateboard

Thanks - but those look like rotating casters; really I'm wanting fixed wheels. That may do but what I have in mind is somewhat experimental and there's no certainty it'll work. Hence wanting to see if anyone can let me have an old skateboard to play with.

    Amazon then? Or Screwfix?

    Wezzit?

Is it in Far Sump Extension?

    Caving Illnesses

(Touching wood) I've never been bitten by a tick. This is because I invested in a tick removal tool as a precaution, so obviously I've never needed it. Bit like how it never rains for ages when you've bought a fancy new waterproof jacket.
