The Bathtub Test
During a visit to my doctor, I asked him, ?How do you determine whether or not an older person should be put in an old age home??
?Well? he said. ?We fill up a bath tub and offer, a tea spoon, a tea cup and a bucket and then ask then to choose one to empty it?. ?Oh I understand, a normal person would use the bucket?, I said. ?No? replied the doctor. ?They would pull out the plug, now where do you want your bed, beside the window??
