    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Boxhead - Cracker in WET conditions

Thanks for all the valuable advice and suggestions.

Yesterday (Wednesday) we did Rowten. Water levels were “up” but I have done it in much higher water (During the main day of Storm Desmond). We stayed relatively dry using a hybrid of the eyehole route and the Gully route, we got wetter on the walk back.

Today (Thursday).

We went down and back up Boxhead. The main stream was flowing well and the route was a bit “drippy” but we managed to avoid the main water. Used all the insitu deviations and improvised a couple to increase the “pleasantness”

A really nice Trip actually in these conditions as long as you are in a small group (we were a 3)

Some pictures looking up to daylight in Boxhead.

Thanks again

I must admit it doesn’t look too bad when considering the forecast I saw
