They seem to have been added to the records on 23rd March 1942.

Thanks Langcliffe; that does suggest that Leakey's "Songs of a Potholer" (which Balcombe didn't flag up until 1950) may well be different - or at least a different version.

I think it's time for me to consult our BCA librarian - meanwhile, if anyone knows where there may be a copy, please would you post here, or send a PM? Thanks.

Ah - splendid. I've been in touch with Mary and she said she'll liaise with Jenny.

So it looks like we're homing in on this at last.
