Cable to the Duo battery box

Does anyone know if replacing a cable to the Petzl Duo battery box is straightforward with a built in seal so will be as waterproof as before or do I need to make my own seal? (I don't have a Duo to have a look at).

Are there any other waterproof AA battery boxes out there?

When i replaced the cable on my duo I damaged the seal getting the gubbins out the bottom of the battery box. a dod of hotmelt glue round the new cable sorted it though.
