Yorkshire MOORS - there's one or two people on here from York Uni (see Excalibur Pot in Yorkshire section) - they might be able to assist if it's Moors info you're after as they have recently made a fine discovery over there.

When Alex said 'A bit more info', I think he meant some things like your name and where you live so people can made an educated decision. Your profile leaves a lot to the imagination, you could be anyone, my mum told me never to go caving with strangers I met on the net!
If you told us your name, roughly where you live, if you have any kit and if you'd chip in to fuel costs for someone giving up thier own free time to take you out, then you may get a better response.
I live in the moors (Osmotherley) but do most of my caving in Nidderdale and the Dales rather than the Moors, if that's of interest to you? I might have to check out Excalibur pot tho' - it looks great!

Sorry that you don't seem to be getting any offers of a trip out.. seems a shame, but dont let it put you off. Its difficult sometimes to meet folks and get involved. Seems you have a sensible attitude. Best bet would be make some initial contact with a local club, get on a few trips with them and see how you like it.

However - Loads of info here

and here

good luck.  :)

Sam: Cheers man. I've actually aproched DDUCC and YCC. Might be going out with some of the YCC guys tomorrow night (weather dependant)

I understand peoples reluctance with a newbie but i promise i'm not bad at most things, and learn fairly quick.

I'll assume that's Castleton near Rochdale, and not the Peak District caving mecca of Castleton
