As a caver you'll probably enjoy the abseil, Nat, which kinda lies at odds with my understanding of abseiling for charity (i.e. it's scary, I'm a hero for doing it, please cough up and support my high profile charity).

Also bear in mind the old proverb....

Matt 6:2-4

"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

I'll get me coat....

Excellent proverb,

Whilst were on with charity stuff, I'm running the OMM in october to raise awarenes of SARDA england (search and rescue dogs association), I'm not wanting sponsorship, Merely to make people more aware of how this organisation works. Just slap sarda england into google and have a read, if you want to donate that's entirly upto you. Just rember donationg to MR and CRO does not directly fund the training of dog's and handlers.

Nat - If i had any spare cash then i would, Maybe come payday if i remember...

Well I'm doing it because I obviously like to abseil (a lot!!) and I have never abseiled off a building before so it will be nice, even though not too high (only 130ft apparently).
I would happily pay a small(er) fee to do it as I cannot just set up a rope and do it on my own (I mean I supoose I could but I would have to watch the law abiding citizens calling police and what not so all in all a bit of a headache when I can do it officially with no hassle).
As I said before I do not myself like to ask for help and even less for money but the only way I am doing this abseil is by raising 250pops for Charity, which all in all I cannot condemn, it's a good way for Charities to make money and who can blame them?
