Climbing Wall at Longnor?

Many years ago, I seem to recall going to a climbing wall in Longnor, where it had a "cave", constructed behind the climbing wall, which could be followed to a "pitch" allowing you to abseil back down into the main room. It was a good venue for SRT training as I recall.

Google has thrown up some references to such a place - called "Upper Limits" (with the name used for a current venue in Leek too) - but there isn't a great deal of recent info. Looking at google maps street view - I'm pretty sure it's closed down.  Just wondering if anyone can confirm either way?

Thanks,
Phil.

It became leek climbing wall & was still open in 2011, but no idea what has happened since...

Apparently it was facing closure in 2012 & there is an article in Derbyshire caver saying it was no longer available, but not sure when that was.

Yes, it has now closed - don't know exactly when but it was quite a few years ago.  It was in a newish building which is now used for something else.

It was a great venue and Orpheus used it for at least one Club SRT training event run by Nigel Atkins.

There is a new venue, Adventure Hub, in the Peak District in the former Hitch 'n' Hike shop at Bamford.  The SRT training wall system was in the process of construction when I saw it in March this year so it must all be finished by now.  I've not seen any advertising for it yet but I believe it was going to be open for cavers to book sessions.  Perhaps someone else know more about it?

Thanks Mikem and Jenny P for the info / confirmation.
