    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

Coronavirus and Matienzo Caves Project Easter expedition

Because of the developing coronavirus situation in both Spain and the UK, and the possible implications, e.g. 'social isolation' for expedition participants and Spaniards we have decided that
- There will not be a central Germ?n's Bar office nor a central logbook for the Easter expedition.
- If people decide to go, they should stay in small groups as happens during the autumn visits, keep separate logbooks either written or electronic and follow national and local directives and medical advice.
It may be that the bars will be directed to close and there may be "quarantine" imposed, as has happened in Italy.
Some of the usual participants are not going, others are, and some have still to make up their minds.

Things move quickly:
We cannot go against the recommendation of Federaci?n C?ntabra de Espeleolog?a, the permit body. They are recommending that sporting activities are postoned - so the MCP has to say that the Easter expedition is off. There should be no caving activities.
