Just let the world know that Daimler Hole is now -----No Daimler and no Morris Minor  Hole! ;)
A large team of Lassies and Laddies  from the Little Green Men with Natural England spent seven
hours removing scrap and fencing the hole. The weather on Friday was fantastic ,no comparison with
today Sat.

Well done.
I don't suppose you want to pop down to Mendip and remove the cars from GB and Manor Farm as well...  ;)

Was it really only 7 hours?  It wasn't only two cars we removed, it was several rolls of rusty fencing and various other bits of rubbish too. We removed some stuff from just inside the entrance, but we didn't do a full scour of the cave, so keep your eyes open if you visit. We think we cleared everything from the shakehole, but again, be careful, just in case. We're hoping to select a photogenic relic of the Daimler and mount it just inside the cave entrance.

The work was carried out by the CNCC volunteers (some of whom are not Little or Green or even Men ;-) ) with financial and logistical support from CNCC and NE. If you'd like to join the CNCC vols on future projects, please pm me, and I'll keep you in touch with what we're planning. Next in line is Homeshaw, which we hope has only one car not two, and should be a smaller job.

Might take quite a lot of work. There are a lot of cars in that Manor Farm shaft & the one in GB is now well embedded.

Good work!

Has anyone done the trip to the end yet? Is anyone planning to complete the survey?

nobody has got to the end!!! The last crawl goes on and on !! it is now believed to go to a rising near the  footpath from Bruntscar to Ivescar an enterable cave is there that may be best way to try a tho trip one or two shake holes are nearby that may also go in . air flow + water flow at rising seem the same as in the hole .
