DCRO will be running its annual intro day and we'd like to invite anyone with an interest in cave rescue along. The day aims to be a practical and as hands on as possible and will consist of 5 sessions: Rigging, stretchers, 1st aid, communications and an intro to the way the team works, the store and vehicle.
The day will start at 10am and finish by 4:30pm. It will be held at the new DCRO base at the new fire station on Staden Lane, Buxton; there's limited parking in the fire station so please park considerately on the nearby access roads. We will be providing soup and sarnies for lunch. Everyone attending needs to bring their SRT kit and helmet along with an oversuit/coveralls (for the stretcher session the basement we use is a bit mucky) and warm clothes since many of the sessions will be outside.
If you are planning on attending, or have any questions, please drop me an email on training {at) derbyshirecro {dot}org {.) uk or see here if I've made that unreadable or PM through this site.
