I was hopeful when i saw this today, but the more i think about it the less I'm convinced.

It's not much smaller than a small SLR, but with a significantly smaller ccd, so the image quality will always be less. True its hard to make an SLR waterproof, but they already a very resistant to caving and how often do you actually want the camera underwater, especially in the UK.

I'm excited to see a manual compact that is actually compact, enough to fit it into a pocket. This changes everything...

Just realised this has actually now happened in the Lumix FT5

I've been very impressed with my FT3, but this with the increased ISO option, the introduction of "full" manual exposure control, and up to 10fps continuous drive, must be a contender for best caving Point and Shoot. Again, just a shame the sensor is really teeny tiny!
