Dow 2nd choke

Hello,
Last year I went into Dow and had a poke around the second boulder choke. We went up the greasy slab and I eventually found my way into what I think was "the crawl". I saw some bang wire going off into the distance, but couldn't persuade myself (or others) to continue. I've been wanting to return ever since, however I'm not that big a fan of the greasy slab.
Am I right from reading the survey that you can avoid the greasy slab by staying in the stream pretty much all the way through the choke? Any experience of it?

If I remember rightly, one can get into the passage from the right-hand side, and dropping down.

That seems a lot like how I got in from above the greasy slab, but would be great if I can avoid it. I'm sure it isn't as bad as I remember...

I'm not sure you can avoid the slab, but I've only been in a couple of times, so I'm no expert.
