Hi All,
any idea if anyone repairs the 14 led modules from duo's with replacements running at ?50 +

have replaced burn't out LEDs in a couple of Petzl 14s units. Easy enough if you have a soldering iron. Anything more complex and you probably need someone with the electronic witt of Dave (potholer).

borrow a 14 LED module off of someone and check its not the connections in your Duo (and/or check your 14 led module with a different 6v 4xaa supply if you can gash something together).

Will try swapping it with mine...see if that works

Did you figure out if it is the 14 LED array, or the lamp body switch connections that are dodgy?
I have one that was doing exactly as you described, and it was the switch connections in the back of the lamp, not the LED module. I flowed some solder down the 2 legs of the 14 LED array and no problem since.

Clarifying, was that just making the pins thicker, to improve contact (or slightly move one of the contact springs)?

seemed to work Dave. Fiddled with contact springs first but didnt instanstly solve on mine.
