The question title seems to be about the wider community, Which if it's a caving community is probably only done through here, the FB UKcaving group, Descent and Hidden Earth. I'm unaware of any others... But to a community at large, eg the general public, the only method is through newspaper articles, a few of which haven't been bad, with pretty pictures.

Our club has a monthly pub meet which is less well attended than it used to be as we've started to attract members form a wider geographical range (or they've moved), and a combination of an email list and direct personal texts and messages. There is a bi/tri annual newsletter which remains interesting containing trip reports.

My other club mostly communicates through email and contains many members (mostly climbers) whom I've not met.
