Never had to reverse the trip but always thought the first Tyrolean across the big lake would be hard going uphill especially if tired. Presumably you could use prusiks on the cable.

These days first water crossing has a zipline *and* a pair (one for hands one for feet) of tensioned steel cables that you can easily shuffle across, all with absolutely excellent rigging. The only real obstacles are the 2 pitches, 25m and 30m or so.

It's unwise to assume everyone who tries the route is happy and equipped to just jug back up, because it attracts a very mixed range of ability/experience.... as this rescue shows.
