Whilst Rob was in the tackle marquee discussing the survey with Kevin, I don't think Rob was aware of the divers connection, and the conversation was about the prospects for a dry connection. Towards the end of the conversation Kevin did mention the divers route and pointed out that it wasn't suitable for himself or Rob.  :sneaky:

All in all I thought they did a good job with the limited slot in the programme. Credit also to Pete, John & Kevin and not forgetting the rest of the team behind the scenes who didn't appear in the final cut  :beer: (even if there tents did  :) ).

I thought the most interesting thing was that you could produce a 3D laser survey using a disto :) and have the disto results blue toothed from the cave straight to a surface laptop.
must need to re think how I am surveying ;)

Well I suppose we could dig holes  :)  in various parts throughout the hole ::) series  eg Rana was not a natural shaft it was dug out. Hmm! Yes it was dug out, but to reveal the natural shaft surely. But unless they are going to have a Focus Group Screening before it reaches the masses, there will always be a few errors. I don't think it is much to worry about.

was only joking ;) I like all the bits underground not associated with caving, very interesting, as well as the caving off course
