I hope they are not going to do it all at the same time! Even 12 groups of 10 over a day would make the cave busier than normal!

Nah, it appears that there are probably only going to be three groups in the morning and afternoon, about 8+ per group.

BTW the charity itself sounds dubious at best - another "jobs over here, pretending to help people over there".

I well remember the smell of sweaty forwards from my rugby days (being cuddled by two large props) - I wonder if that same "scent" will remain in the cave on the monday!

Wots the largest known person to make a go of the drainpipe?
You'd have to be bloody enormous not to be able to get through. Perhaps someone can mislead them into doing The Smartie Tube instead. Or would that be a Forbidden Trick (c) ?

I am going to ask for a day off so that I can volunteer to sit at the end of the drainpipe and revive all these hunky rugby players as they crawl through!

Their accounts show that they appear to get about £50,000ish a year from donations, about a third of a million from the government and other agencies and spend £100,000 of it on their wages, averaging £400 each per week.

Have to agree with your cyncism, however, £400 per week is only the average wage in this country, so if the charity is UK based, the employees would expect that level of pay.

I ought to go and work for them.

Their website states they're not offering paid work at the mo'; you can volunteer to raise more funds for their wages, though, apparently.
