Traff,

Hermes was the delivery company used for your book and they have tried to deliver it to you every day for the past 3 days. Its out for another attempt today.

I'm not sure where you get the signed for Royal Mail 2kg delivery for under ?5.00. Royal mail actually charge ?12.98 Inc. Vat. to ship the Berger book to a UK address.

When you finally get your book, I hope you like it.

Cheers,

Mark

My copy finally arrived via Hermes a couple of days ago. Packaging was a bit knackered, but the book and slip case were in perfect condition thanks to the bubble wrap.

I reckon it was well worth the wait as it's an excellently produced book.

I do have one concern though........how long will we have to wait before the companion volume on PSM appears?!

;)

Thanks cfmwh for the feedback.

I'm glad you like it.

As for the PSM companion volume, the sooner you get writing it the sooner it will be out.

Cheers,

Mark

Sales of the Gouffre Berger book have gone better than I envisaged and today the project has donated ?9,000.00 to the Ghar Parau Foundation and ?3,000.00 to the Association Nicola.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the project.

Cheers,

Mark

Christmas sales of the Gouffre Berger book have been going very well and we have been able to make a further donation to the GPF today. Association Nicola were confident the ?3K donation they have already received will support the project for the next year and this will hopefully see the current Mk3 prototype fully working. With Graham Naylor, Pete Allwright, Bill Whitehouse and others we carried out testing of the system in Peak Cavern 2 weekends ago. Graham will hopefully be writing something in the next Descent to bring everyone up to date on the Mk3. One of the successful tests we carried out was over 1km!!!

The project has, of today, donated ?11K to the GPF and Paul Ibberson is ensuring it is being invested for the benefit of us all.

If you're wondering about what to buy a friend or loved one for Christmas I can't think of a better present than the Gouffre Berger book. ?47.50 including next day delivery.

Remember every penny supports cavers into the future.

Merry Christmas,

Mark
