Would anyone know if the tunnels beneath the Matlock colour works are still accessible?

I don't know who's told you that but we don't have access; the last PDMHS visit to Side Mine was when the colour works was still active and arranged through one of the employees. The site belongs to the Heights of Abraham and they don't normally allow visits.

Hardly surprising given the problems they've had with vandalism on the site...

When the works closed I was interested in visiting both and enquired at the mining
Museum . They were very helpful and said If I joined PDMHS I would get on the next visit
and gave me a membership form. As it happened I did not follow this up .
