John Blashford-Snell's "Mysteries: Encounters with the unexplained" includes visits to Saswa shield volcano & Mt Elgon's elephant salt mines during Operation Drake (c.1978-80). He also visited caves along the Blue Nile in Ethiopia & the German defensive tunnels in Jersey.
