Langstrothdale sinks

So I did a jolly into Langstroth cave and Dow with the wee ones today after dossing in the van after a very fine meal in the George inn. The river above hubberholme is non existent until above yokenthwaite where the last water sinks in the gravel. A short distance upstream a sink takes a lot of water at the moment- almost opposite Langstrothdale cave- and a rumble of a stream can be heard below the boulders. Gaps can be seen downwards but didn’t take it any further as it’s rather ‘public’! Perhaps 100m further up another sink is taking water and we managed to dam it off enough to stop the flow and start pulling out branches and an unopened in date can of Stella! Again a stream can be heard through the blockage but bedrock would need to be removed to get a human in. The Stella was taken away for further analysis. The two questions are where does this sinking water reappear and has anyone dug them before? I would guess that normally they would be taking far more water.

Well I can confirm that upon further analysis the beer was unaffected by its journey downriver and into Stella Hole.
