Lidar now incorporated in Bing road maps

Has anybody else noticed that Bing maps have now incorporated surface relief from Lidar in its road maps? Here, for example, is Trefil quarry in S.Wales, adjacent to the Llangynidr SSSI and its sundry shakeholes - https://www.bing.com/maps?rtp=~pos.51.814131_-3.275065

Weirdly I had spotted it down this way today, but just presumed it had always been there but I hadn't noticed it!

The vertical resolution is pretty low though.

The coverage varies across the country. Most of the country is covered by 1m resolution, but a few areas have 0.5m resolution.

They've used a nice shader on that. But most of the areas I'm interested in still have no coverage at all, or just the fringes, sadly. Most of Castleton is still blank, empty space. I've heard a rumour that everywhere will have at least 1m coverage by the end of the summer, which would be nice, as I have a few maps to finish!

Yes, coverage is pretty poor in the Peak District, while Sheffield enjoys 0.5m coverage.
